Better Ways to Hydrate

Did you know that 55 to 60 percent of the adult human body is comprised of water? And that water is sometimes used alongside certain dietary changes to support healing? In fact, water is such an essential element (e.g., comprising approximately 75 percent of newborn babies and over 70 percent of the Earth’s surface) that “la source” in French often means “the spring or fountain.”

While many surface-level springs are now contaminated, deep mineral water (DMW) can sometimes be a good option. Popular in some countries, DMW may have gone through decades, hundreds or even thousands of years of filtration deep within the earth; often rises to the surface naturally; can contain myriad essential minerals; is sometimes made available to the public free of charge; is part of the thermal/mineral springs sector in the Global Wellness Economy; and is already treasured in many regions of the world—including some renowned for longevity—as it can be quite pure as well as a source of vital nutrients. If you're lucky enough to live near a DMW spring, be sure to contact the associated county government or water authority to track down a water-quality report and ensure its purity and mineral composition. Share this information, along with any of your own research on the topic, with healthcare providers and nutritionists.
